Cognitive Corporate Finance is delighted to welcome Sébastien Faudemer, who joins the firm as Senior Director in charge of developing the firm’s activities in France. To the extent the French market is booming, Sébastien will be responsible for managing Cognitive’s French clients, as well as deepening the firm’s ties with the French ecosystem of alternative institutional investors.
Starting with a degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Paris 1, Sébastien moved on to studying as a researcher in quantitative economics at the University of Liège. He began his career as an employee at the Center for Research on Savings and Legacy as Director of Quantitative Studies, where he worked with the Banque de France, INSEE and the OECD and for the main French banking and insurance institutions.
Sébastien then moved on to Marketing and Sales Information System for the network of general agents Azur Assurances, where in 2001 he became Marketing and Sales Manager of the Direct Insurance Company Reflex Assurances, the third brand of the AZUR GMF Group, now COVÉA.
A serial entrepreneur since 2003, Sébastien created several firms in the insurance space, among others the innovative brokerage firm Assuroscope in 2006, which ultimately got acquired and became WISAFORCE, a software publisher.
In 2016, Sébastien created his firm to advise start-ups in innovation financing, and supporting innovative SMEs and their managers from the creation of their Company to Series A, including the optimization of their public financing and a possible raised in Seed Capital. In addition to fundraising and disposals, Sébastien is an expert in Data, FinTech, Deep Tech, but also in transformation and new digital uses.
